Hello My Loves!

Hope you’ve all had a wonderful week! We are back with something short, sweet and informative!
I have entered my natural hair era! I am not entirely sure this is best for my hair, but I am sick of wigs, braids, weave and extensions. Personally, I have never felt more comfortable and confident in myself than I do currently, with my natural hair out. I shaved my head to regrow my hair in July 2022, and today, my hair is back to a healthy bob length. It has been a scary journey with heat damage along the way but my hair has never felt better.

I had to learn what my hair and my scalp needs. Do you have high porosity or low porosity hair? I found comfort in leave-in conditioners and water. I also had a mix of oils that I used to seal the moisture in after I had hydrated my hair. Here they are, with their benefits…

1.Rosemary Oil

There is a lot of hate for this oil, but I appreciate it. Rosemary Oil is amazing for your scalp as it has antioxidant and antimicrobial qualities which help increase blood flow and decrease build up, therefore promoting regrowth.

2.Avocado Oil

My absolute favourite oil. This oil is underrated. Avocado includes biotin, which we know helps with hair growth. It also aids a healthy scalp by hydrating, repairing and stimulating blood flow.

3. Jamaican Black Castor Oil

If you ever wondered what this oil brings to the table, the answer is thickness! You suffer with thinning hair? This oil encourages strong growth from the root. It contains omega-6 and omega-9, which are fatty acids that help with the thickness on your hair. A common misconception is that this product is for hair growth but it’s purpose is hair health. However, this oil does irritate some people's skin, so you might want to patch test it.

I mixed all these oils in a pipet bottle and applied to my scalp, after my leave-in conditioner, once a week. You don’t want your hair to be over saturated so don’t drench your hair in oil. A little goes a long way.

That's all form me...

Use this week to invest in your feel-good factor...

With Love
